This workshop was held in close collaboration with
partners such as UNAIDS, UNICEF, CDC, FHI and Futures Institute. This is part of a global consultative
process and the results of the consultative meetings will feed into the
country, regional and global HIV estimates published regularly by UNAIDS and
WHO every year, leading to estimating HIV burden at the country level more
accurately.
25 participants from the South-East Asia Region attended
the meeting. Participants were introduced to the workbook method for
estimates and projections in low-level and concentrated epidemics, with focus
on changes/updates, including quality of surveillance. They learnt about the new features of EPP
and spectrum. It was a hands-on
training with practical training.
