CANDIDATES FOR EXPERTS ROSTER

 

The World Health Organization Regional Office for South-East Asia , New Delhi, invites applications from qualified professionals with expertise in the areas below for review and inclusion in its roster of experts for the Communicable Diseases programme,   The objective of the programme is to reduce the health, social and economic burden of communicable diseases in the South-East Asia Region.

Areas of expertise include public health, epidemiology, disease control, programme management , laboratory services, communicable disease surveillance and response, Veterinary Public Health, vector-borne diseases such as malaria and dengue, vector control, leprosy and other neglected tropical diseases (lymphatic filariasis, soil transmitted helminths, yaws and kala-azar), HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, human resource development, advocacy, communications and social mobilization, health financing, research and training.

Candidates with the requisite skills and experience will be included in the roster and considered for temporary assignments ranging from one to twenty-four months, either at the WHO Regional Office in New Delhi, or in any of the following country offices:  Bangladesh, Bhutan, Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea, India, Indonesia, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Timor-Leste.
