Vaccine Preventable Disease Surveillance Information

Monthly - Measles & Other Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) Data

On a monthly basis, the Immunization and Vaccine Development (IVD) Unit of WHO-SEARO publishes surveillance information on Measles and other VPDs from member countries. At the end of each month, these updates can be found on page 2 of the weekly VPD Surveillance Bulletin. Data are submitted by the 15th of each month by member countries. Measles and other VPD cases may be reported from various surveillance systems in each country including, routine (passive surveillance), outbreak investigations, and active surveillance activities. Monthly Measles and Rubella lab update / Bulletin

On a monthly basis, the IVD Unit also publishes a Measles and Rubella lab update in the weekly VPD Surveillance Bulletin. The monthly lab update provides data on the latest laboratory test results on blood samples collected from suspected measles cases in the region. Results of specimen testing are submitted by the 10th of each month from each laboratory in SEAR Measles Lab Network. The latest lab update is reproduced and can be found in the link below.

Annual Measles and Rubella Fact Sheet

Annually, the IVD Unit of WHO-SEARO publishes a Measles & Rubella Fact Sheet produced from data reported by member countries through the WHO-UNICEF Joint Reporting Form and the regional EPI Reporting Form. The latest Measles and Rubella EPI Fact sheets are available through the links below.

Japanese Encephalitis and Acute Encephalitis Syndrome Update

IVD also publishes the latest Japanese Encephalitis and Acute Encephalitis Syndrome case counts when data are available.
