To
collaborate with WHO for developing training packages for building capacity
of faculty staff and students of medical and nursing schools, health care
providers in community-based interventions for improving maternal, newborn
and child health;
To
act as a nodal centre for community-based research activities for maternal,
newborn and child health;
To
identify and promote innovative community-based intervention in the area of
maternal, newborn and child health;
To
extend the expertise on community-based maternal, newborn and child health
interventions and research to government and non-government organizations
working in the area of maternal, newborn and child health.
