To address within national health policies,
plans and programmes, priority reproductive health
problems with special emphasis on maternal and newborn health, family
planning, prevention and management of abortion complications;
To promote improvement of access to effective
maternal and newborn care and fertility regulation services;
To promote improvement of systems for
monitoring maternal and newborn health services;
To promote the implementation of evidence-based
integrated cost-effective reproductive health interventions with a focus on
maternal and newborn health within primary health care approach;
To conduct operations research to generate
best practices and evidence for addressing priority reproductive health
problems.
