Gender Policy – World Health Assembly (WHA), Geneva, Switzerland

In understanding that gender scope is related to cross cutting issues of many sectors; gender sensitivity and analysis are performed to develop the gender perspectives in health policies and programs.

The goal of the WHO Gender policy in Integrating Gender perspectives in the work of WHO has been announced in year 2002: “to contribute to better health for women and men through health research, policies and programs which give due attention to gender considerations and promote equity and equality between men and women”
