The World Health Organization publishes a
number of books and periodicals dealing with public health issues covering
a wide range of topics including prevention and management of communicable
and non-communicable diseases, environmental health, family health,
essential medicines, health technology, health statistics and traditional
medicines. Most of these are freely downloadable, and some are for sale.
The Publications-Sales Unit is responsible
for marketing and sale of products in the Member Countries of WHO’s South-East Asia Region. Free publications are
distributed by the Library.
Priced publications are grouped as Books and
Subscriptions (books, journals and periodicals).
All orders for our priced publications
should be sent to our office in New Delhi, India (WHO Regional Office for South-East Asia). We can be reached by e-mail (publications@searo.who.int) or

Books
will be despatched as soon as a confirmed order, together with full payment is received. Click here for
the WHO catalogue of books available for sale. Quoted prices are applicable
for all countries and include handling and postage charges. For developing
countries, the cost will be at 70% of the global rates.
E-mail orders sent to us will be
acknowledged and a proforma invoice indicating
the exact price will be sent to the requester within two working days.
Customers in India
should send payment in the form of demand draft favouring “World Health Organization” payable
at New Delhi.
Payment by credit card is not accepted. In exceptional cases, payment by cheque is also accepted but the despatch
will take place only after confirmation of cheque
clearance by our bankers.
Customers from other Member Countries of the
Region should send their order to us but payment has to be deposited with the respective WHO Country Office (WCO). Click

Subscription orders received will also be
acknowledged within two working days. There are 12 packages designed to
suit the needs of our varied clients that include institutions and
individuals.
Our Global Subscription package is ideal for
those seeking a comprehensive record of everything published by WHO.
Subscribers
of the “Global” subscription package receive all WHO periodicals and books
published during a calendar year (January to December) which results in
substantial savings. They need not subscribe to other smaller
packages.
