In order to develop appropriate intervention
programmes, Regional Office for South-East Asia assisted countries to
conduct research studies in areas, such as economics of tobacco control,
poverty and tobacco, product regulation, women and tobacco and so forth.
The findings and recommendations of these studies have been analyzed,
discussed with and disseminated to member countries thereafter.
