Resolution ‘D’ on Tobacco Control
adopted by the 61st Session of the Regional Committee of WHO South-East Asia held from 9 to 11 September 2008
The 61st Session of the Regional Committee of WHO
South-East Asia held from 9 to 11 September 2008 adopted a resolution on
Tobacco Control emphasizing on the implementation of the MPOWER policy package for effective implementation of
the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control. The resolution by the 61st
Session of the Regional Committee is a clear reflection of the deep
commitment of Member States in South-East Asia Region to implementation of the Convention Resolution.
