Diarrhoea Outbreak in Nepal

Diarrhoea Outbreak in Nepal

More than 3000 people have been affected, and over sixty have died, in an outbreak of diarrhoea in Jajarkot district in Nepal.  WHO as part of the Health Cluster (a group of all organizations working on health) is working closely to support the Ministry of Public Health.  Two interagency diarrhoeal disease kits (for 1400 people) have been sent to the affected areas.  WHO’s Emergency and Humanitarian Action unit is providing support in logistics, information management and tracking of human resources.
