Shipping and packaging of Infectious, biological substances, dangerous goods (DG) and cold chain maintenance (CCM) IATA awareness onsite training
Shipping and packaging of Infectious, biological substances, dangerous goods (DG) and cold chain maintenance (CCM) IATA awareness onsite training has been organized SEARO-CDS-BLT with help of World Courier.
The International Air Transport Association (IATA)'s Dangerous Goods Regulations have recently undergone sweeping changes that impact how specimens must be classified and packaged. World Courier has developed a specialized 1-day training course designed specifically for shippers involved in the transportation of clinical specimens via air. This globally offered one day IATA Dangerous Goods (DG) Certification Course for the Shippers of Infectious and Diagnostic Substances ensures that shippers are in compliance with upcoming legislation. The one-day course is particularly beneficial to personnel managing or directly involved in the shipping of infectious substances and diagnostic specimens. All individuals involved in the preparation and/or transport of dangerous goods (infectious substances, diagnostic specimens, use of dry ice, etc.)are benefitted with this training. At the end of the one day training, an open book examination is conducted and a certificate (internationally valid for 2 years) is issued to those who qualify in this examination. After 2 years, certificates can be renewed by attending half day refresher course.
Along with the IATA DG awareness course, Cold Chain Management (CCM) training is being organised. Cold Chain Transportation is facing increased scrutiny from regulators around the world. To maintain the appropriate temperatures for cold chain shipments in different climatic conditions, it is important for shippers to be equipped with the specialized knowledge and understanding to prepare temperature-controlled shipments. Cold Chain Management training is tailored for professionals managing or directly involved in the handling of Investigational Drugs and vaccines, biotechnology products, biological products and specimens, sampling kits and temperature controlled drug shipments.
