Polio-free certification of the World Health Organization South-East Asia Region

The WHO South-East Asia Region had its last wild poliovirus case in January 2011 and expecting the decision on polio-free certification on 27 March 2014. The key to this success has been to vaccine ‘Every Child, Everywhere, Every Time’. This requires strong and continued community mobilization.
