World Immunization Week

World Immunization Week is celebrated between 21 and 28 April each year and is an opportunity to highlight the importance of immunization in saving lives from contracting vaccine-preventable diseases across the world. It is an effort to galvanize WHO regions and countries to raise awareness on how immunization saves lives.

Immunization Week is also an opportunity to emphasize the need to reach the underserved, high-risk, and mobile communities which are often missed due to challenges ranging from conflict and security issues to remote geographical locations.
