Roles and Functions

Partnerships, Interagency Coordination and Resource Mobilization Unit:

  • coordinates and provides technical support and strategic advice to WHO regional and country offices for the development and strengthening of innovative and effective partnerships with multiple stakeholders in support of WHO’s programme of work and in alignment with WHO’s priority programmes at regional and country levels;
  • looks after regional coordination of interagency relations with UN system organizations and regional groupings including UNDG-Asia Pacific as well as regional intergovernmental agencies including ASEAN and SAARC;
  • coordinates and provides technical support to regional resource mobilization efforts ensuring a corporate approach to resource mobilization functions and clearance procedures.
