Partnerships, interagency coordination and resource mobilization

Sweeping socioeconomic changes taking place in the world pose new challenges to the health sector in the South-East Asia Region, which has the largest share of the global disease burden. In order to deal with these ever-increasing multisectoral health concerns, effective partnerships with external partners, increased coordination with stakeholders are of paramount importance for health development in the Region. It has increasingly become critical to develop and strengthen strategic and innovative relationships with donors and partners to ensure increased flexibility, predictability and sustainability of funding, alignment of donor resources to WHO’s priorities, developing new income streams and expanding the donor base of the Organization.

Our Partners

We collaborate and coordinate with the donors, global health partners, foundations, bilateral and multilateral agences, nongovernmental organizations, intergovernmental organizations, public and private sector partners in order to effectively implement WHO programme and provide effective support for the national health development in the Region.
